Following in the footsteps of innovators like Williams, McNurty, Ariel, and land speed record holders, the Maeving RM1S has been awarded the prestigious Simms Award by the Royal Automobile Club.
We are incredibly proud to have been awarded the prestigious Simms Medal by the Royal Automobile Club for the Maeving RM1S.
Following in the footsteps of innovators like Williams Advanced Engineering, McMurty Automotive, Ariel, and land speed record holders, Maeving was recognised for “creating an innovatively designed, technically advanced, and attractive electric motorbike for urban and suburban riders that addresses charging challenges and appeals to a broader customer base.”
Ben Cussons, Chairman of the judges on the Royal Automobile Club Technical Committee (which awards the Simms Medal), said:
"Maeving's achievement in designing and building an attractive and innovative electric motorcycle in the UK is a project that Frederick Simms [founder of the Royal Automobile Club] would have been proud of. The business exudes the passion of its founders but has the financial backing and commercial nous that will help it achieve its ambitious aims."
This award marks a significant milestone for Maeving. We believe electric motorcycles have the power to transform urban and suburban mobility for the better. The Maeving RM1S embodies our mission: a beautiful, practical, and sustainable machine that delivers the convenience of electric riding while preserving the freedom and joy that have always defined motorcycling—all wrapped in timeless British style and engineering heritage.
