WHAT IS FRANKS?
Franks is Essex’s most popular motorbike hotspot, tucked away on Turkey Cock Lane in Colchester. It’s named after owner Jon’s father, who sadly passed away on New Year’s Eve, 1998. Jon wanted his father’s name to live on, and live on it most certainly does. Jon was inspired by his father’s generous and charitable nature to create a motorcycle club that provides members with support, friendship, regular ride-outs, and a chance to chat about your most recent motorcycle obsession with people who get it.
Jon runs the café at Franks where you can eat incredible food made with locally sourced ingredients, there are plenty of beautiful classic motorcycles to peruse at your leisure whilst you’re there, and there are Bike Nights every other Tuesday during riding season.
On Maeving, Jon says "The consumer shouldn’t just look at this bike as another electric alternative, but to see it as a new market being born. Maeving offers style, convenience, and affordability in one sleek package."
Both Maeving and Franks are excited to bring the Maeving riding experience to Colchester and the wider Essex area.
TEST RIDE AT FRANKS
Franks is open Monday to Saturday (9 am-5 pm except for Saturdays when they open half an hour later and close half an hour earlier). Test ride equipment (i.e. helmet and gloves) is provided, but you must have a valid CBT to ride.
