2024 has been a landmark year for Maeving: a year of growth, recognition, and significant milestones. From delivering the first Maeving RM1S bikes to launching in new countries and winning prestigious awards, we’ve taken big steps on our mission to bring the freedom and joy of electric riding to as many people as possible. 

Let’s take a ride through Maeving in 2024 and celebrate the moments that made it such a special year. 

UNVEILING THE MAEVING RM1S 

This year marked the arrival of the Maeving RM1S, our second model designed to extend the joy of Maeving to riders living beyond the city centre. 

In April, early adopters gathered at The Bike Shed in Shoreditch for an exclusive unveiling event, setting the stage for the first deliveries over the summer. The response has been phenomenal across our four markets—three of which we launched in this year alone. 

LAUNCHING IN GERMANY, FRANCE, AND THE USA 

2024 saw Maeving go international, bringing our electric motorcycles to some of the world’s most iconic roads. 

We started with Germany, a country renowned for its appreciation of high-quality engineering and sleek design. Next came France, where Maeving bikes found new homes along scenic routes from Alsace to the Côte d’Azur and in the mountains of Chamonix. 

Finally, building on our 2023 California launch, we expanded across the United States. From Manhattan’s bustling streets to Miami’s sun-soaked boulevards, the Maeving RM1S is set to bring freedom and joy across American roads in 2025. 

RAVE REVIEWS OF THE RM1S 

Since its launch, the Maeving RM1S has been rigorously tested and reviewed by some of the most esteemed journalists and publications in the automotive industry. Motorcycle News (MCN) praised the RM1S for embodying “all that’s good about battery power,” while Visordown concluded that “the build quality, fit and finish and overall feel of the bike are like nothing else in the electric sector.”

MULTI-AWARD-WINNING RM1S 

Acclaimed by experts and loved by riders, the Maeving RM1S has also won two prestigious industry awards, solidifying its position as a leader in its category.  

In August, we were immensely proud to see the RM1S named the ‘Best Urban Electric Motorcycle’ by MCN, the most trustworthy voice in British motorcycling. Their reviewers pull no punches, so having our new model recognised by them as best-in-class is a real honour. 

Then in October, we were awarded the prestigious Simms Medal by the Royal Automobile Club for “creating an innovatively designed, technically advanced, and attractive electric motorbike for urban and suburban riders that addresses charging challenges and appeals to a broader customer base.”
